Africa

Africa by Toto: the song two songwriters wrote about a continent neither had visited.

David Paich sketched it alone at a piano, chasing a documentary he had seen on late-night TV. Jeff Porcaro built the groove around a drum machine and real congas. Nobody in the room thought it would become the internet's favorite time capsule from the 1980s, decades later.
