Bohemian Rhapsody
Queen

"Bohemian Rhapsody" almost never made it to radio.
Queen spent three weeks locked in Rockfield Studio in 1975, stacking an estimated 180 vocal overdubs onto a 24-track tape until the reel wore nearly transparent. No chorus, four shifting movements, five minutes and 55 seconds - everything a hit single wasn't supposed to be.
