Dancing Queen

Dancing Queen almost debuted at a palace, not on radio.

ABBA played it live for the first time on June 18, 1976 -- the eve of King Carl XVI Gustaf's wedding to Silvia Sommerlath -- months before the single ever hit shelves. Benny Andersson built the groove chasing the disco sound of George McCrae's 'Rock Your Baby,' then Stikkan Anderson swapped the working title 'Boogaloo' for four words that became a wedding-reception constant.

Would you have guessed royalty heard it first?
