No Woman, No Cry
Bob Marley
"No Woman, No Cry" wasn't written by the man who sang it — at least not on paper.
Bob Marley gave the songwriting credit to Vincent Ford, a friend running a soup kitchen in Trenchtown, so the royalties would keep the doors open and the pots full.
Would you give away credit on your biggest song to feed your neighborhood?
