In July 2012, Psy dropped what he called a joke about Seoul's richest zip code - and by December 2014 the play count had outgrown YouTube's own view counter, forcing an emergency code fix. The song most of the world heard as a party anthem was actually satire aimed at people faking a wealth they didn't have.
