Mr. Brightside

Mr. Brightside never hit in the UK, and that's exactly why it became unbeatable.

Brandon Flowers wrote it about catching a girlfriend with someone else, years before The Killers even had a record deal. Two decades later, the song is still charting.

In 2023, the Official Charts Company confirmed it had racked up more cumulative weeks in the UK Top 100 than any song before it, a record it keeps extending without ever reaching number one.
